Our prayer for 2026 is that our lives will be marked by becoming courageous followers of Christ. As we set out on this journey together, we must lean into what it means to pray bold, audacious prayers that move the heart of God.
The Elijah Truth: Human Just Like Us
We often put biblical figures on a pedestal, imagining them as spiritual superheroes with unshakeable faith. But James 5:17-18 reminds us of a startling truth: "Elijah was a human being, even as we are".
He had doubts, bad days, and likely struggled with feelings of inadequacy just like we do. Yet, despite his humanity, he prayed a "ridiculous" prayer; asking for a drought, and then asking for rain and God answered.
Are You Settling for the Manageable?
When we look at "impossible" situations, health issues that won't budge, financial walls, or broken relationships; it’s easy to quietly settle. If we aren’t careful, we stop asking for the miraculous and start accepting the manageable.
Elijah reminds us not to settle for the status quo when the supernatural is still on the table.
This is the 2026 MOOD: our fear is getting smaller because our God is getting bigger.
