Beyond the Walls: The Heart Behind Our Missions

At Anthem, our heartbeat is simple but radical: know Christ & make Him known. But what does that look like when we step away from the familiar rows of our Sunday services and into the unknown?


True mission work happens when we decide that the Gospel is worth more than our comfort. It’s about leading people into a relationship with Jesus, and then becoming the hands and feet that carry His name into the world. This means going beyond our walls, beyond our comfortability, and—at times—beyond what makes "human" sense.


Missions is more than a trip; it’s a spiritual surrender. When we step out of our daily routines, we create space for God to stretch us in ways that our normal lives don't allow.


Reflection: Nicaragua 2025 🇳🇮

Last year’s trip to Nicaragua was nothing short of life-changing. We saw the "Blueprint" of our church come to life in a different culture. Whether we were sharing the Gospel in local neighborhoods, participating in street evangelism, or simply loving on families in need, we were reminded that the Church doesn't have walls, it has people. The joy and resilience we encountered in Nicaragua moved us from "knowing" about God's heart for the nations to actually feeling it.


Expectation for 2026🇮🇪

As we look toward our 2026 Missions Season, our expectation for what God is going to do is unmatched. We aren't just planning trips; we are preparing for encounters.

This year we're excited to announce we'll be headed to IRELAND later this year!

We believe 2026 will be a year of courageous connections. Both with the global church and within our own teams. We are moving with a courageous spirit, ready to go wherever He leads, regardless of the cost.


How to Prepare Your Heart Now

Even before the dates are announced, the mission begins in your heart:

  1. Pray for Discernment: Ask God to prepare you for the specific doors He wants you to walk through this year.

  2. Lean Into Dependence: Practice stepping out of your comfort zone in your own neighborhood or workplace today.

  3. Expect the Impossible: Don't limit God's plan for 2026 to what you can afford or achieve on your own, He is the God of the "unmatched" plan.
